Meribo, pronounced "Muh-REE-bo" is a word we coined by combining two Italian words: Meridionale (southern) and Cibo (food). We like to think if an Italian chef was dropped off in south Louisiana this is the type of food they would cook.

We (Kasidy & Gavin Jobe and Anna & Vinnie LeDonne) came up through fine-dining backgrounds. We all met while working at a steakhouse in Baton Rouge in 2009. Gavin and Vinnie were promoted to management at the same time, learning the ins and outs of the restaurant business. We knew we wanted to create our own dining experience, bringing together everything we loved about the restaurant industry and leaving out the things we didn't, and when the timing was right we opened our first restaurant: Meribo. The doors opened on the North Shore in June of 2016 and now we are thrilled to expand to New Orleans for our second location in the Pythian Market!

You have definitely heard our other partners name if you are an LSU Baseball fan. Anthony Ranaudo pitched for the Tigers from 2008-2010, pitched in the 2009 College World Series Championship, and went on to play in the major leagues. He and the guys have been friends for years and have always wanted to join forces, so when Meribo Pizza was brought to the playing field it was a home run. Okay, we’re done with the baseball references!Being from New Jersey, Anthony has a deep rooted love for Italian food and pizza, or as he calls them, pies. We are thrilled to have Anthony on our winning team.

We love pizza! We love great food, great company, and enjoying those things in a laid back environment. Our goal is for you to enjoy modern Italian cuisine with some of our southern influences while feeling like you never left home. It’s that simple.
